Rob Lowe reminisced about his pal Chris Farley on “Conan” Tuesday ― and the topic turned to the late funnyman’s urge for food.
Lowe recalled taking Farley out for steak after they wrapped “Tommy Boy” ― a 1995 comedy wherein Lowe performed the stepbrother of Farley’s bumbling Tommy, who’s making an attempt to avoid wasting the household enterprise.
“He had two — two — full bone-in porterhouses,” Lowe recalled. “Upon every chunk of the 2 full bone-in porterhouses, he put a whole dice of butter. On each chunk. And once I was horrified, I used to be, like, ‘Farley, what are you doing?’ He mentioned, ‘It wants a hat!’”
Lowe and host Conan O’Brien, who labored with Farley at “Saturday Evening Stay,” really appeared to overlook their buddy.
“Each chunk of steak I eat to today,” Lowe mentioned, “I am going, ‘I ponder if I ought to put a hat on this?’”
